The Challenge:

When Pretty Litter—one of our longest and most beloved clients—came to us with a challenge, we were ready to deliver. They needed a bold, attention-grabbing YouTube ad that appealed to a broader, gender-neutral audience, moving beyond their Cat Goddess campaign. This time, the focus wasn’t on educating consumers—it was on solidifying Pretty Litter as a household name. That’s a major milestone for any brand. With a tight deadline and a high bar to meet, we rolled up our sleeves (and sharpened our claws) to craft a campaign that hit the mark just in time for its 2025 launch.

The Solution:

We’d always wanted to personify a cat spokesperson, but previous attempts faced some pushback. Drawing inspiration from our own personal experiences with pets (hello relatability!), we created the ‘Badd Cat’ persona: a mischievous feline who does whatever he wants, when he wants—yet is still mommy’s little boy who deserves the best litter on the market. With our dream team in place, we cast a longtime friend who we knew would absolutely crush the role. And crush he did…

The impact:

Within just a month of going live, our Bad Cat campaign racked up over 4.8 million views—along with a flood of comments, likes, and shares. It created such a buzz that Pretty Litter took it a step further, launching a 30-second cutdown as a streaming commercial. Now that’s brand awareness in action!
